Healthy food access is a basic human right, not an economic privilege.
Sunlight, healthy soil, water and air, and careful stewardship are a responsibility of the commons.
Abundance comes from the commons when we combine our resources and share.
Our farm product distribution is based on this idea of sharing, or "a share."
We grow food for 20-25 local households each year. Farm members self-select the vegetables, dairy, and eggs that they can use from weekly availability. We have no minimum or maximum share prices.
How do the finances work? We propose a yearly farm budget and farm members determine how much they can offer as a monthly contribution toward operating costs. We work together to bridge the gap, either through reducing the farm's budget or finding alternate funding. Our budget is public, as well as a list of the farm's non-monetary needs.
